Education: University of Minnesota, Entomology, Ph.D (In Progress)

University of Minnesota, Entomology, M.S. 2010

Luther College, Biology, B.S., 2006 (Minor: German)

Research Interests: My research explores many levels of insect cold tolerance, all through the lens of the Light Brown Apple Moth (Epiphyas postvittana), an invasive pest from Australia.  I am interested not only in the immediate effects of cold on individuals, but also effects that may transpire as fitness costs or selection pressures for adaptation  in a population.
